Wood Thilsted, designs some of the most innovative offshore wind foundations and structures in the industry. Having grown our team of Engineers across our offices in the UK and Denmark we are now looking for an additional Project Administrator to support those engineers in managing their contracts and staff plans.

Areas of responsibility

Reporting to the Associate Director of Projects you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Manage Resource need by liaising with our Senior Engineers and Project managers to understand:

    • Planned resource requirements

    • Potential new work

    • Potential work extensions

    • Progress against milestones

    • Billing is complete and accurate

    • Managing project documentation in line with the document management standards on projects.

Other duties include:

  • To update and maintain our Project system (CMAP) in light of the above

  • Produce regular management information from CMAP showing forecast resource requirements and revenue forecasts.

  • Support engineers in adhering to the WT ISO9001 document naming and review processes.

  • Contribute to process mapping documentation and internal process improvement

  • Managing project documentation in line with the document management standards on projects.

You will be working from our office located in central Bristol although infrequently there may be opportunity to visit our London or Danish offices. The role could suit part time working (a minimum of 24 hours per week) and such applicants will be considered.

Your background

  • Previous experience of resource planning and/or project administration in a fast moving project environment

  • It is desirable but not required to have experience of working in a dynamic small to medium firm in the engineering sector

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Your experience can demonstrate high attention to detail in a project environment

  • Efficient, organised with strong time management skills

Our Project administration team is still new, and therefore provides the opportunity to help shape and grow the role as our company grows. The role would suit those with ambitions to grow their careers and experience further.
